Elara

Elara was born September 5, 2010, two and a half months premature. It was a shock to her family who were afriad of what this would mean for her health and her future. Her parents were relieved when she was born and rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit that, all things considered, she seemed in good health. Then their world came crashing down. Aidan

Aidan was diagnosed with a very aggressive, recurrent tumour in his right ear called a Cholosteatoma in May 2007. The Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist he saw in Saskatoon removed the tumour a total of 4 times under general anesthetic, but the aggressive tumour returned every time. Aidan was referred to Pediatric ENT Dr, Drummond at Calgary Children's for consultation and for subsequent surgeries. Read more about Aidan.
